By creating an account, accessing, or using ShotGroups ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ShotGroups.
ShotGroups is a firearm training application that analyzes target photos, tracks shooting performance metrics, and facilitates competitive target comparison. The Service includes photo analysis, progress tracking, bracket-style challenges, and system-generated insights based on your training data.
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Each user account is private — your data, training sessions, and progress are visible only to you and are not shared with other users unless you explicitly participate in a shared challenge.
New users receive a free trial consisting of three (3) target analysis sessions at no cost. No credit card is required for the trial. Once the three free sessions are used, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service. Unused trial sessions do not carry over and expire if not used within 90 days of account creation.
We offer the following paid subscription plans: (a) Monthly Plan at $4.99 per month, billed monthly; (b) Yearly Plan at $53.89 per year, reflecting a 10% discount versus monthly billing; (c) Two-Year Plan at $89.82 for two years, reflecting a 25% discount versus monthly billing; and (d) Lifetime Access Plan at $149, available for a limited time as a promotional offer. The Lifetime Access Plan is a one-time payment that grants access to the Service for the lifetime of the Service, as described in Section 6 below. All prices are in U.S. dollars. Monthly plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. Yearly, Two-Year, and Lifetime plans are paid upfront in full.
For a limited time, ShotGroups is offering a promotional Lifetime Access Plan at a one-time payment of $149. The following terms apply specifically to the Lifetime Access Plan: (a) Nature of Access — "Lifetime" refers to the operational lifetime of the ShotGroups service, not the lifetime of the purchaser. So long as the ShotGroups website and service remain operational and available, Lifetime Access purchasers will retain full access to all features included in their plan at the time of purchase. (b) No Refunds After Third Session — Due to the deeply discounted promotional value of this plan, all Lifetime Access purchases are non-refundable once the purchaser has logged three (3) or more training sessions on the Service. Prior to the third logged session, purchasers may request a refund at our sole discretion by contacting support. (c) Service Availability — ShotGroups does not guarantee that the Service will remain operational indefinitely. If, for any reason, the ShotGroups website ceases operation, is discontinued, or becomes permanently unavailable, Lifetime Access purchasers acknowledge and agree that no further access will be available and that ShotGroups shall have no liability — financial, legal, or otherwise — for the cessation of the Service. No refunds, prorated or otherwise, will be issued in such circumstances. (d) No Recurring Fees — The Lifetime Access Plan requires a single one-time payment. No recurring billing, subscription renewals, or additional fees will be charged for the features included at the time of purchase. (e) Scope — The Lifetime Access Plan includes all features available to Monthly subscribers at the time of purchase. Future features, services, or premium add-ons introduced after purchase are not included unless explicitly stated. (f) Transferability — Lifetime Access is non-transferable and is tied to the purchaser's individual account. (g) Modifications — ShotGroups reserves the right to end this promotional offer at any time without notice. Purchasers who complete a purchase prior to the end of the promotion will retain their Lifetime Access under the terms in effect at the time of purchase.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card information on our servers. By subscribing to a paid plan or purchasing Lifetime Access, you authorize Stripe to charge your designated payment method for the full amount of the selected plan. All payment processing is subject to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy.
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access until then. Yearly and Two-Year plans are non-refundable once purchased, as they are offered at a discounted rate. If you cancel a Yearly or Two-Year plan, you will retain access until the end of the prepaid period. Lifetime Access purchases are non-refundable after the purchaser has logged three (3) training sessions, as described in Section 6. We may issue refunds at our sole discretion in cases of service interruption or billing errors.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to: (a) use the Service to plan, facilitate, or carry out any illegal or harmful activity; (b) upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; (d) use the Service in any way that could disable, overburden, or impair the Service; or (e) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service. ShotGroups is a training analysis tool and does not provide firearms safety instruction. Always follow all firearm safety rules and local, state, and federal laws.
Your privacy is important to us. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is never shared with other users. Each user's data is isolated and accessible only by that user. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your data.
The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by ShotGroups and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the target photos and training data you upload. By uploading content, you grant ShotGroups a limited license to process and analyze your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Analysis results are approximate and based on photo quality and content. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of system-generated analysis, feedback, or insights. The Service is a training aid and should not replace professional firearms instruction. Always consult with a certified instructor for safety and technique guidance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShotGroups shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. For Lifetime Access purchasers, our total liability shall not exceed the one-time purchase price of $149.
You agree to indemnify and hold ShotGroups harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and, for significant changes, by sending a notification to your registered email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination, after which it will be permanently deleted.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which ShotGroups is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
ShotGroups operates on the honor system. When you log a training session or submit a target to a heat or Versus match, you self-report the distance, conditions, and other session metadata. ShotGroups cannot independently verify the distance at which a target was shot, the conditions under which it was shot, or any other self-reported information. All scores, standings, and leaderboards are based on user-reported data and are not guaranteed to be accurate or verifiable. You agree to report all information honestly and accurately. Misrepresentation of shooting conditions, distances, or results undermines the integrity of the community and may result in removal from heats, seasons, and leaderboards at our sole discretion.
ShotGroups is a training and community platform. It is strictly prohibited to use the Service for any form of betting, wagering, gambling, or financial gain. You may not stake, wager, or exchange money or anything of value on the outcome of any heat, Versus match, season, or leaderboard. The Service does not facilitate, endorse, or permit any form of gambling or real-money competition. No financial rewards, prizes, or payouts are offered through the platform. Any attempt to use the Service for betting, wagering, or financial gain will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to the appropriate authorities. This prohibition exists to comply with applicable gambling regulations and to maintain the integrity of the Service as a training tool.
